Kem cho Aunty! Majama cho?
Aunty, I stepped outside, and wow… what a scene! The moon is shining so brightly, and suddenly it hits me— Aaj toh Poshi Poonam che! For those of you scratching your head, Poshi Poonam is the full moon day (Poonam) in the Posh month of the Hindu calendar.
Let me tell you, this day is loaded with spiritual vibes. It’s a time to pause and reflect, to offer prayers under the glow of the moon and feel its positive energy!
So, when the moon pops out all shiny and bright, I keep it simple… I grab my family (because everything is better jalsa ma), offer kanku and rice to the moon (I call it “air chandlo”) and make a wish that comes straight from the heart! I’m sure there are other special ways to celebrate this day, Aunty, so I’d love to hear your wisdom on how you do it!
But for now, here’s the plan for tonight: step outside, breathe in the cool night air and let the moon’s magic sprinkle over you. Let it remind you of abundance, gratitude, and the small joys that light up your life.
Don’t miss it! Oh, and Aunty, don’t forget to take a photo under the moonlight this year!
Majama rehjo, and Happy Poshi Poonam!
